Creating a Cozy, Safe Sleep Space for Your Pet

A good night's sleep matters for pets just as much as it does for us. A few small choices about where and how your pet sleeps can make a real difference.
Location matters
A quiet, low-traffic corner away from drafts, loud appliances, or busy doorways helps your pet actually settle down, rather than staying alert to everything happening around them.
Size it right
A bed that's too small won't let your pet stretch out, and one that's too large can feel less secure, especially for pets who like to curl up. As a rough guide, your pet should be able to fully stretch out with a little room to spare.
Easy-to-clean materials
Removable, washable covers save a lot of hassle, especially for pets who track in dirt or shed heavily.
Temperature
In colder months, a spot away from drafty floors (or a bit of extra bedding) helps; in warmer months, a breathable fabric in a cooler part of the house is more comfortable.
Small adjustments to their sleep space can add up to noticeably better rest.
